First, we will begin by inspecting the interior of your basement, this will allow us to access the area for damp, mould or decay. At this stage we will discuss any recurring issues with the homeowner and build a custom waterproofing plan.
Once we have stripped the walls down to the frame we will complete any foundation repairs through a method called ‘injection crack repair’. This uses a hydraulic cement or epoxy paste to effectively seal the crack, preventing any leaks or moisture to infiltrate your basement while we complete the waterproofing service.
If required we will drill weep holes in the foundation to relieve pressure and prevent future repairs. This is only required when the foundation is made from hollow concrete blocks or your basement suffers from frequent leaks.
Once we have addressed any foundation cracks and sealed any potential leaks, we will install the waterproofing membrane. Our waterproofing contractors only use the best membrane to waterproof the inside of your basement, preventing future basement leaks.
Next it is time to install the interior drain, this will collect any excess water and channel it to your sump pump. We will begin by excavating around the perimeter, before installing the weeping tile and connecting to the sump pump. Once we have checked that your new basement drainage system works effectively, we will add a layer of gravel to cover the weeping tile, then sealing it off with a concrete layer.
