What Actually Changes Your Price
- Method: exterior waterproofing (full excavation) costs more per linear foot than interior drainage because it involves digging up and restoring the yard, but it stops water before it reaches the wall rather than managing it afterward.
- Depth and access: a foundation with a deck, patio, or narrow side yard above it costs more to excavate than open, easily accessible ground.
- Foundation age and material: older stone or hollow-block foundations sometimes need extra crack injection or weep holes that a newer poured-concrete foundation does not.
- Size of the affected area: pricing per linear or square foot means a partial-wall repair costs less than a full-perimeter job.
- Existing damage: mould remediation costs vary the most because the price depends entirely on how much material has to be removed and how contaminated it is.
