The Challenge: Multiple Cracks & Heavy Flooding

The homeowners in Aurora reached out to us after discovering multiple foundation cracks that were allowing a significantly large amount of water to flood their basement.

To properly address the issue from the inside, our interior waterproofing experts began with a precise demolition of the perimeter concrete floors. All old concrete and saturated soil were safely excavated and disposed of to make way for a brand-new, high-capacity internal drainage trench.

Wall Cleanup, Anti-Microbial Scrub & Membrane

Water intrusion often brings the risk of mold and bacterial growth. Before applying any new materials, our crew performed an intensive wall cleanup.

Our interior treatment process included:

  • Anti-Microbial Treatment: Deep spraying and scrubbing of the foundation walls with professional-grade anti-microbial solutions to ensure a healthy basement environment.
  • Membrane Installation: Supplying and installing a high-quality dimpled waterproof membrane along the interior walls to safely channel any incoming wall seepage down beneath the floor slab.

Drainage System, Sump Pump & Floor Restoration

A completely new internal weeping tile system was supplied and installed at the footer level, surrounded by 3/4″ clear gravel to maximize water flow and prevent clogging.

Sump Pump & Protection Setup:
We installed a heavy-duty sump pump and housing assembly, complete with drain extension lines to push water far away from the home. A crucial backflow valve was also installed to prevent municipal sewage backups.

Once the entire system was tested, our team completed a seamless concrete floor restoration, leaving the basement dry, safe, and ready for finishing.
